McLaren Lake Regional Park

McLaren Lake Regional Park has a natural beauty on its own with the spring watershed spilling into the lake from miles around. With a man-made dam constructed in the 1960’s, the lake when full covers approximately 200 square miles, Amenities of swimming, boating, and fishing. The park is treed and with a rejuvenation of new shelter-belts. Negotiations for the park began in 1961 with 5000 trees being planted. In 1965 the ball diamond and concession were built. In 1966 250,000 pickerel fish were stocked into the lake, following this golf course and office were added. In 2016-17 a new bathroom/shower was constructed.
